It was cute the first few times, but :
1) It's annoying to see huge strings of the owl pictures chained together post after post after post
2) The people who post them usually only post one-liners anyway, and they use the owl to inflate the apparent size (but not quality) of their post, and as a context to increase their post count
3) It's a waste of bandwith when they're actually uploading them on to the forums (depends on the forum type). I've seen a forum where 75% of all posts contained an owl picture.

The owl went the way of Chuck Norris jokes;
The only good owl reference anymore is a satire. The rest should be deleted on sight x_X

The ORLY owl. What is its orgin you ask? Easy, some moron too lazy to spell decided to make a short cut turning "Oh Really" to "ORLY." He then found an unfunny picture of an owl and posted it on the internet.

Today it's effect have lowered the IQ of 95% of people surfing the internet. Luckly for me I am unaffected by this plauge.

This has been an educational moment with me.

When I first saw it I broke into laughter, the problem with people is they dont understand most insanely stupid jokes are one time things.....more then once and they're just stupid
